Dolly Parton has been a musical force to be reckoned with for nearly 50 years, and at 77, she shows no signs of slowing down.

The country icon made it plain in a recent interview with “Greatest Hits Radio” presenter Ken Bruce that retiring is not in her plans. “I would never retire,” she said with her trademark charm and humor.

I’ll simply hopefully die in the midst of a song on stage someday, maybe one I wrote. That’s how I intend to proceed.” Parton’s devotion to her work is extremely inspiring.

While Dolly Parton does not want to retire, she acknowledges that some events may impact her choice in the future. “As long as I’m able to work, as long as my health is good, and as long as my husband is good,” she continued, “the only way I’d ever slow down or stop would be for that reason.” It’s apparent that her love of music and her family keeps her going.

Parton’s objectives, however, extend beyond her already renowned profession. She aspires to explore new frontiers and make her mark in many artistic sectors.

During the conversation, she stated a desire to host her own network TV program where she could experiment with new ideas and create compelling material.

Parton sees a series called “The Life of Many Colors,” which would dive into her biography, exposing unknown tales and her modest origins.

She want to share the experiences and behind-the-scenes events that formed her into the person she is today.

Dolly Parton plans to broaden her impact by hosting additional TV programs and developing her own brand of cosmetics, wigs, and apparel, in addition to her television ambitions.

She clearly does not want to rest on her laurels; she wants to keep pushing limits and explore her various abilities.

Retirement has already come up in discussions concerning Parton’s future intentions. In a 2020 interview with “60 Minutes Australia,” she expressed a wish to one again grace the cover of Playboy magazine.

Dolly Parton, who is known for her ability to make people laugh and smile, said, “Well, I don’t plan to retire.” I’m 74 years old and want to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again. I used to work for Playboy magazine.

I thought it would be great if they would go for it—I’m not sure if they will—and I might be on the cover again when I’m 75.” Her wit and drive are genuinely commendable.

Dolly Parton has kept herself occupied in recent years, apart from her musical efforts. In 2022, she presented her own NBC holiday special, “Dolly Parton’s Magic Christmas.”

She also collaborated with Miley Cyrus, her goddaughter, to co-host “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party.” These projects demonstrate her flexibility and ongoing appeal.
